Zhang huan ：I notice that the character of bookman or intelligentsia in your works become more and more strong,and the image is very converged.There is only one actor.Your works become pure and explicit after some complicated transmutationand clear away some other factors' effect.The portrait for you isn't a picture or a material but a kind of memory of collective consciousness.
Zhang yang：The character of intelligentsia you said just now is very interesting.I believe that I am as the same as the Chinese intelligentsia who have deep humanism solicitude.There must be some harmoniousand even entemal value exsiting between the history and the modern time ,and the hurman and the nature.I feel very comfortable to concern these values.I ,myself ,am one of the intelligentisia.It must be representa tive and have special meaning.Myimage is a self portraiture as a person in society.Actor is a kind of identity,and he is full of hope for the different parts in the next production.This is also the interest which I want to create and I love to feel the pressing strength.
Zhang huan ：To be very consuming,or to be more quiet and calm.It is very important to be undisturbed.At the same time,you have contacted with yourself's unique life.I am fond of the wisdom and policy which is professing to attack this side,but actually attack this side,but actually attack the other side.
Zhang yang:There are full of conflicts in our usual life always.I would like to unit the different factora together which looks like clashed.The factoes stand for trandition and modern time,human and creature ,and loftiness and common customs and so on .the human and the creature live together harmoniously.A t the same time ,the relationship between them become more complicated,and the development of the science is challenging the boundary of then .Does the combined and fantastic creature mean a romantic and marvelous new fable?It is a key topic that to revel the harmony and the nature.
Zhang huan ：The art reveals a type of possibility.It's necessary to show the feeling in your heart ,prominent,excessive while splendid Kelisi. Baden，is a behaviour artist who was famous for his extrmeness in 70years.Thirty years later,he suddenly held a design exhibition about bridges in New York.The works were very apt and excellent.He has the demeanoro of the great master and had no relationship with his old works.It is the two opposite tip of a thing .This impresses people very much and means a lot.
Zhang yang：That's it.The artists can be divided into two types which are concerning civilization and concerning so ciology.What I most want and profer is the art which has the thought of culture and the character of modern society.I am crazy for the vivid minutia moved our heart.The persen ,old tree and even the monster in suiting dynasty should be together.New I use it's a new possibility.I believe that all of the things which I enjoy mest be mine.Of course,the two parts can't be depayted.
Zhang huan ：We depend on ourown feeling,while not the doctrine.The history of art is just exploeing for all the time ,and many foreign artists are learning from us now.You see ,many people are doing bones,while someone can create great works still,because their times,society culture and the explicative way are different.All of the great mastera are extremly individual ,at the same time they are human and belong to all the people.
Zhang yang：This is releted to the ideas of the artists,and it needs effort.
Zhang huan ：Looking at Picasso again ,the guy is very great .He didn't be afraid of breaking through himself.He could draw a variety for dozens times.I do several different groups of works at one time.In fact ,it's not easy to emancipate oneself .I remember a song of guerilla which we sang often when we were young.It said:"To cut off the heads of enemies with sword."We are holding the sword to cot our heada till we are dead.
Zhang yang：Very Good.To cut off the heads of us .
